If your hair is baby fine and shoulder length or shorter the "shorties" should work perfectly for you. The wooden shaft is 3 1/8 inches (7.9 cm) long. Using the shorter hairstyx you won't have as much of the Hairstyx coming out of your hair design. This length may also be used for sections of longer hair. Note that the wooden part of the short hairstyx comes only in black.

If your hair is medium, thick, layered, curly, frizzy, and shoulder length or longer, we recommend the longer hairstyx. The wooden shaft on this style is 4 3/8 inches (11.1 cm) long.

Some women think that their hair is too long or too thick for the hairstyx. Not true. The Long Hair Ambassador of the World has 6 feet of hair. Just 2 pair of Mei Fa Hairstyx hold ALL of her hair up, securely and comfortably. The trick is in how you twist your hair, to condense it, and how you put the hairstyx in the hair design.
